The beauty of this chair is primarily in its carved back. An intricately, carved, pierced splat flanked by thinner carved slats unite the scalloped top and bottom rails. The the upper stiles of the chair have a bobbin design terminating in decorative finials. Two box stretchers unite the legs. The front stretchers are turned. The back and side stretchers are plain. Seat height is 18.75 inches.
